  • The submission file is in .DOC or .DOCX format.
  • The text is double-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

Author Guidelines

Philosophiques only accepts submissions in French.

For references, all texts must respect the Chicago manual of style norms following the "classical" method, using footnotes, without bibliography at the end of the text. For a guide on this style and its adaptation to the francophone context, please consult this Webpage: https://bib.umontreal.ca/citer/styles-bibliographiques/chicago?tab=5241950.

Philosophiques asks that the texts respect the directives de l’Office québécois de la langue française sur la rédaction épicène et la féminisation des textes.

With the exception of reviews, all manuscripts submitted to Philosophiques are reviewd by two experts. The evaluation period does not normally go over three months.

The reviewers reports are forwarded the authors, preserving the anonimity of experts.

Once a paper is accepted, the author must send a final version respecting the norms of the journal. A paper that would imply too much editing or reviewing of the form, even if presenting high quality content, will not be published.

Every author receives a paper copy of the issue where the article is published.
